Prior to joining SolPowered, Elizabeth served as Executive Director and President of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA), (2007-2011). During this time, she worked closely with the Ontario Government (Solar Task Force and FIT/Micro-FIT Advisory Committees), the Electricity Sector Council and the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA). She was also named an Investment Canada Champion by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) and travelled extensively throughout North America and overseas as a solar advocate and spokesperson.

Elizabeth says, “I am excited to be working with a locally owned solar energy company. SolPowered is exactly the kind of company that the Government of Ontario’s FIT Program envisioned.”

Also worth noting is that on January 15th, even with the panels completely covered by a thick blanket of snow, the Arena managed to operate at nearly half of its total efficiency, peaking at 43.1kW.

All of this data was recovered using the custom monitoring solution that SolPowered has installed at the Arena, which is offered to all of its clients and provides detailed information on daily production.

All of our hard work has paid off, and we are exceptionally proud of our entire team for their continued dedication and perseverance. It has been a great solar year for us with many of our FIT and microFIT installations having reached commercial operation, and we look forward to continuing to move this green initiative forward.
